Probity Appraisal Group, a division of The Green Mission Inc., specializes in producing personal property appraisals to standards set by the IRS, The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), and standards set by the three personal property appraisal organizations sponsoring The Appraisal Foundation: American Society of Appraisers (ASA), Appraisers Association of America (AAA) and International Society of Appraisers (ISA). Our appraisers are accredited members of one of the three personal property appraisal organizations.
The Appraisal Foundation has been authorized by Congress and provides the following guidelines on choosing a qualified personal property appraiser:
“Government does not license personal property appraisers. Therefore, when choosing a personal property appraiser, it is crucial to pay close attention to the qualifications of that individual and make certain that the appraiser’s education and standards of practice are sufficient to produce an appraisal report that is reliable and credible.”
